VOLUNTEERING

As a non-profit organisation, DreamCatcher Productions rely solely on volunteers to keep the organisation running.

We invest time and training into our volunteers to boost their potential, not only for us; but to give them transferable skills for later life. We won’t volunteers to benefit from the organisation as much as the organisation benefits from them, and we work with them to understand where they are heading in their personal and professional development.

There are all types of roles available within our organisation. You could work as part of the technical team on our live events, become part of the planning team for various events and projects, work alongside our youth team delivering workshops or you could do it all!

Various roles available:

Events Team Member: As part of the events team you will attend regular meetings, helping plan and organise in-house live events, co-ordinate events teams for local community events and generally getting stuck in with almost anything.

Stage Manager/Assistant: A stage manager plays a very important role within our live events and needs to possess excellent communication skills as well as great time keeping. Experience is not necessary for this role but preferred.

Live Music Co-ordinator: We are looking for an individual or a small team of individuals to co-ordinate local live music events across the town. Experience is not required but an excellent knowledge of local bands/music is essential.

Stewards: One of the services we provide to the community is event stewarding. These can be very enjoyable duties. Full training is given and this role is a great way to give back to the local community.

Sound/Lighting Technician: Experience required, with knowledge of theatre based equipment. You would be working as part of the team on our in-house events that take place regularly at the Hawth theatre.

Youth Leader: We’re starting to roll out various workshops to make music and performance more accessible to young people. A handful of keen youth leaders are required to help facilitate this.
